Monkey_Party is an interactive and randomly generated video DVD that uses consumer audio-video equipment (TV, DVD player, hi-fi …) to create an audiovisual “installation” at home.

V.O.S.T. OV/OT explore les relations entre le cinéma, l’art vidéo et l’art numérique. Nous prenons pour points d’accroche ces éléments discrets, intermédiaires et fonctionnels de l’industrie du cinéma que sont le sous-titre et le doublage et qui apparaissent comme des brèches par lesquelles les artistes détournent et s’approprient les films. Cette programmation bruxelloise donne une place centrale au langage, à la transcription et à la traduction.

Monkey_Party is an interactive video installation that aims to sneak into our daily lives by manipulating common household audio-video equipment (TV, DVD player, stereo …) in order to open our senses to new experiences. It’s an alternative audiovisual encounter between performances, video, experimental cinema and digital art.
